Draft. This is a working draft that describes how SeedRank actually works. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and will be replaced before the app launches.

1. What SeedRank is

SeedRank is a free game about discovering early-stage startups. Players use Seeds, fictional in-game points, to back startups they believe in, and give hype to founders. Leaderboards rank startups, founders, and players by activity in the game.

2. Seeds have no value

• Seeds are free game points. They have no cash value.
• Seeds can never be bought, sold, transferred for money, or redeemed for cash, prizes, or anything else.
• Backing a startup with Seeds gives you no equity, shares, securities, returns, or payouts of any kind. SeedRank is not an investment platform.
• There are no prizes of any kind.

3. Rankings are not endorsements

Prices, rankings, and hype reflect what players do in the game. They are not SeedRank's opinion, advice, or endorsement, and hype is not a measure of business performance. SeedRank does not vet the startups listed, and some are listed by SeedRank from their own public pages before their founders claim them.

4. Accounts and age

• Accounts are created in the iPhone app with Sign in with Apple. One account per person.
• You must be at least 13. If you are 13 to 17, you need a parent's or guardian's permission to use SeedRank. Founder profiles of players under 18 stay private.
• A parent or guardian can ask us to delete their child's account and data at any time by contacting us.

5. Rules

You may not:

• Solicit investment or offer securities, equity, or tokens, or use SeedRank to raise money.
• Post scams, impersonate anyone, or list a company you don't run.
• Create more than one account, or use automation to play.
• Post content that is illegal, hateful, sexual, or harassing.

We may hide content, remove startups, and suspend accounts that break these rules.

6. Listing and removing startups

Founders who list or claim a startup confirm that they run it and that it meets the eligibility rules. Any company can remove its listing at any time on the removal page, with no account needed. When a startup is removed, players who backed it get their Seeds back.

7. External links

Startup and founder pages may link to other websites. We don't control them; visit them at your own risk.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, the app will ask you to accept the new version.
